leisure enterprise

Yulia and Anya founded Leisure Enterprise to create memorable experiences—drawing on their years of knowledge and expertise in organising inspiring events. Their visual identity needed to reflect the quality of services they provide, so the initial design direction had a strong, modern and classical feel; taking inspiration from events they already host.

After a mini strategy session, we used moodboards to establish the visual language and aesthetic that Yulia and Anya were looking for. While building a moodboard, we often use existing images and ideas from established brands or artists to influence the direction of a client’s brand. By the end of the process we used these ideas to create a fresh brand narrative. To hit the desired look and feel of the brand in terms of typography, we applied a similar creative process to the ones that we had earlier used to explore colour and mood boards.

As Leisure Enterprise has been busy successfully hosting events for years, artist and photographer Yulia provided a variety of stunning shots that could help represent the brand. Her work documents experiences in imaginative, unusual and artistic ways, giving us a lot to play with and complementing the typography and colour system that we established for them.

collaboration

When working with creative entrepreneurs, the process is always fun and collaborative. For example, Yulia asked us to work with her images in an innovative way, so we got to work layering up her photos and creating collages from them—effectively using her photography as illustrations.

Once the brand book and filing system had been delivered to Anya and Yulia, we worked with our copywriter to finesse and fine tune the information that they had provided us with––with. Head to the bottom left image to see how we brought their brand to life with image, type, copywriting and website design. Stay tuned on all of their events by following them on Instagram (by clicking on the image on the right).

We have enjoyed working with Alexandra––sharing our vision and having discussions which she translated into our brand identity. This elevated our business to a new level and we are very excited for this new stage.

Alexandra Lunn

I used to roam around my dad’s wood workshop in West Yorkshire, terrorising his colleagues and making wooden sculptures. I’d accompany him to the demolition sites of the old mills of Manchester and Leeds that were being pulled down; everything within the mills was meant to be burnt, however, he’d salvage wood, bobbins, and cast iron objects and use the materials to make floors and furniture out of the reclaimed timber and other items. The idea that you could make something out of nothing interested me.

I work with developers, designers, and other creatives to create stand-out visual identities, websites, and marketing.
